Psychological distress can take many forms and it is not always clear what contributes to the experience of shame, confusion, despair, isolation, anger and guilt.
I aim to offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can share your story and begin to explore what’s happening. Together, we can make sense of your experiences and find new ways forward.
I work collaboratively with each client to shape therapy around their unique needs. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic models to support you in the way that fits best. I have expertise in humanistic, relational and cognitive behavioural therapies.
I also take a systemic and intersectional perspective. This means I’m mindful not only of your inner world, but of the wider systems you live within; the social, cultural, and relational contexts that shape how we see ourselves and others,
I have worked across a range of settings, including the NHS, private hospitals, and the charity sector, supporting people from a diverse range of backgrounds and life stages and have significant clinical experience working with experience of:
- burnout/work stress
- low mood
- living with a long-term health condition
- eating disorders
- relationship issues
- body image concerns
- identity issues
- bereavement
- confidence and self-esteem
